Classic Kitchen Towel
1 kitchen towel approx. 14” x 24” (makes 2 towels)
4-ply worsted weight yarn
size 6 steel crochet hook
size “G” crochet hook

Zig zag or sew 2 lines across the center of the towel. Cut between the sewing stitches forming two towels.
Row 1: With the #6 steel hook. sc across the cut edge of the towel, making the sts about ¼” apart. Ch 2, turn.
Row 2: With G hook, dc in every st across row. Ch 3, turn.
Row 3: Dc in every other st across row, ch 3, turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until only 6 or 8 sts remain or desired thickness. Dc in every st for 8 to 10 rows. Fasten Off. Weave in ends. Sew button on inside front on bottom row of the 6 or 8 sts. No buttonhole is required. The button will fit between the center dc’s.

Kitchen Scrubber

16 yds 1-1/4” wide nylon netting
#J crochet hook or whatever sized hook for desired effect
Ch 8.

Chair Leg Booties
materials: heavy-weight crochet cotton and appropriate crochet hook
Ch 4 and join. Make a “round” by sc “into the ring” until piece measures the diameter of the chair leg (see “How-To Crochet in Rounds”). There should be enough sts equal to the diameter of the chair leg. Work even until piece is long enough to cover the chair leg. Fasten off and weave in end. Place bootie on chair leg and secure with ribbon or elastic is necessary.

Coat Hanger
materials: 4 ply yarn, 1 crochet hook, wooden hanger
Ch 50 – (9 groups). Work 6 dc in 4th ch from hook. Sk 2 ch, sc – sk 2 ch, 6 dc in next stitch. Repeat until there are 9 groups of 6 dc. Then work back on other side of chain in same manner. Make 2 pieces. Sc together around wood hanger. Put ribbon bow, pom pom or where the hook joins the hanger for decoration.

Hang this holder any convenient place in the kitchen to store and recycle plastic grocery bags. Simply place bags into the top and when needed, pull out from the bottom.

“H” crochet hook
10” – 12” elastic
ribbon for hanger (optional)
Ch 64, or any number that will produce a piece approx. 16” wide. Join into ring.
Round 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across. Ch 4, turn.
Round 2: Tr in 2nd ch from hook, tr across. Ch 3, turn.

Aligning the center st markers, pin together the wrong sides of gusset pieces and long the long edge of the main piece. On the right side work 2 sc in every other row along sides and bottom of gusset. Repeat for other gusset. Work 2 rows of sc around the top of the bag.
SIDE POCKETS (make 2 - optional):
Ch 23.
Row 1. repeat row 1 of Main Piece.

Center pockets on bag Main Piece and sew in place around sides and bottom of pocket.
STRAP:

Mark the middle of each strap end. Align the marks with the marks on the side gusset/main piece and sew strap in place. Repeat on other gusset side of bag.

Cut a piece if stiff cardboard 14” x 4-3/4” (or size to fit the bottom of the bag). Push cardboard into the bottom of the bag.
